Reconstruction of the airport’s main 7,000 ft. runway keel and shoulders, including the construction of two new blast pads. The project also included new energy-efficient lighting replacement to include over 60,000 LF of conduits, 2,000 LF of Directional Bore, and 70 new runway edge lights. This project included a challenging, 47,000 tons of P-411 Asphalt Mix placement and the careful coordination of the Airport’s total shutdown to reconstruct the intersection of runway 15-33 and 4-22. As part of the efforts to provide a better and suitable environment for the native wildlife within the airport’s property, this contract also included the rehabilitation of 50 Acres of Wetlands, and the regrading of roughly 3,500 LF of existing ditch to include the installation of 1,000 LF of 30” equivalent elliptical pipe.
