Our Story
With the help of his wife Maxine, Fred Wright founded Wright Construction in a small basement office in their Elkhart, Indiana home. In 1955, Fred hired extraordinary professionals, including Ron Edman, a mason tender. Together, they continued to grow the company until it was incorporated in 1959.
In 1981, Wright Construction relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, where it secured major regional clients early on. In 1985, Ron Edman became president and began mentoring his son, Fred Edman, to uphold the company's standards of excellence. Fred Edman started as a field laborer, then progressed to project manager, vice president, and president in 2001. Today, Fred and his wife Kelly proudly own the company.
