The long-awaited opening of the Lover's Key timber boardwalk is finally here! 🏖️ We’re proud to support the ongoing recovery at Fort Myers Beach through our work with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, recently completing the construction of a 470-foot-long pile-supported boardwalk as part of the park's restoration.
Our team carefully removed and replaced the original 6,000 SF structure—all while:
✔️ Maintaining the existing footprint
✔️ Avoiding additional wetland or surface water impacts
✔️ Protecting seagrasses and other submerged vegetation
✔️ Using no impervious materials
✔️ Building to new specs: 10 feet wide to allow maintenance vehicle access
✔️ Adding a terminal platform and a scenic overlook for public enjoyment
It’s an honor to help restore public access to this natural area while preserving the environment every step of the way.
